Destini Robinson is the founder and strength and conditioning specialist behind MOVE., bringing more than 25 years of education and professional experience in exercise science, performance training, and human development.
Her journey in the field began in 2000 at the University of West Florida, where she earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Exercise Science. She later served as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at UWF, designing and directing comprehensive performance programs for women’s basketball, volleyball, and softball. Her coaching experience also includes working with youth, collegiate, professional, and general-population clients, including athletes from Major League Baseball and USA Weightlifting.
In 2009, Destini founded MOVE. with a commitment to provide something different: science-based, individualized coaching delivered with integrity, professionalism, authenticity, and genuine respect for every person.
At MOVE., personal training remains personal—even within a small group. Destini meets individuals where they are and adapts training to their abilities, goals, experiences, and stages of life. Her work serves beginners, competitive athletes, busy professionals, older adults, and individuals seeking greater strength, mobility, confidence, independence, longevity, and quality of life.
Destini has held the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist credential through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2005. She is also pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership, Health and Human Performance at Concordia University Chicago, further connecting her exercise science experience with her commitment to leadership, education, and human development.
Education has always been central to her work. Through MOVE.’s college internship program, Destini has mentored more than 20 developing professionals and has served as an internship site advisor for students from the University of West Florida and the United States Sports Academy.
Her professional background also includes research involving exercise motivation and body-shape perceptions among older adults, along with more than two decades as an NCAA softball official. Having officiated 22 collegiate playoff series, she brings leadership, composure, sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail to every environment she serves.
For Destini, strength is about more than physical performance. It is the ability to maintain independence, overcome challenges, participate fully in life, and continue moving forward with confidence and freedom.
That philosophy has guided MOVE. since 2009:
We don’t simply train bodies. We develop stronger people.
